Miguel’s responsibilities include managing all current projects and construction team members, and preparing and reviewing cost proposals, schedules, submittals, and shop drawings.

He assists project teams in coordinating work with owners, suppliers, and subcontractors, while also tracking project progress and production with our project engineers and superintendents.

To ensure that the company is always innovating, he leads the research for innovative technologies to increase productivity and profit while maintaining our strict quality standards.

Expertise

Miguel has been in the construction industry for over 27 years. His career began at Heridel, Inc. in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1997, where he spent his summer internships as a surveyor’s assistant.

In 2015, he started with Harry Pepper as an assistant project manager and has worked on many important projects since then. His vast knowledge of the industry has helped him move up to project manager, senior project manager, director, and now vice president of construction.

Miguel earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Puerto Rico and a master’s in engineering management from Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico.

He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, State of Florida Board of Professional Engineers, College of Engineers and Surveyors of Puerto Rico, and Director of the Civil Engineer Institute on the Commission of Continuing Education for the College of Engineers and Surveyors of Puerto Rico. Further, Miguel is a Licensed General Contractor in Florida, a Licensed Professional Engineer in Florida and Puerto Rico, and a Certified Stormwater Inspector.

The Personal Side

Miguel enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He loves attending his children’s diving meets and ballet performances, as well as traveling, scuba diving, boating, and fishing.
