Meticulous project management and extensive value engineering went into this complex replacement.

Value Delivered

Our team replaced the existing steel gates and hoists and completed minor site refurbishments for the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) at structures S-40, S-41, and S-44, along with minor site refurbishments. We replaced the gates with new stainless steel gate assemblies at all three structures and replaced the hoists at S-40 and S-41 with new cable-and-drum hoists.

The project also included the replacement of the control buildings and generators at S-40 and S-41 and the stilling wells located on the canal banks at those stations, the installation of new 3-phase 120V/208V electrical service, and the extension of the downstream concrete center piers.
