Water Construction Services & Water Quality Restoration

SCOPE OF SERVICES

Description of Total Construction Services Project: This project work will provide for restoration of water quality within Lake Trafford by removing approximately 2,090,000 in-situ cubic yards of muck sediment from approximately 1,156 acres of the lake. This dredging effort is the third phase of the dredging work at the lake. The initial Phase I involved the dredging of the central area of the lake and the construction of the Contained Disposal Facility (CDF) to retain the dredge spoil. Phase II started the dredging of the nearshore areas, which was terminated by the DISTRICT for convenience due to extended drought conditions. Dredged material for this Phase III contract will be placed in an existing partially filled upland disposal area approximately 2 miles from the dredging area.
